Whole Biome is a ground-breaking consumer-focused biotechnology company developing and commercializing products to address key chronic diseases, based on new discoveries of the human microbiome. Whole Biome has created a unique discovery platform to identify key, novel bacterial strains called SynbioticsTM (probiotics + prebiotics) that have demonstrated clinical efficacy to treat conditions like metabolic syndrome, inflammation and neurodegeneration. These are naturally-occurring bacteria within the human body that can supplement a body’s microbiome and have clinically-validated impact on health conditions. Two products currently in Whole Biome’s pipeline have already shown efficacy in humans for the treatment of Type II Diabetes and for Irritable Bowel Syndrome. The company anticipates commercializing these products in 2019 with a direct-to-consumer (DTC) business model.
We are seeking a creative & hungry growth marketer who gets excited about launching new DTC brands, can design and execute our growth marketing strategy from the ground level and thrives working in a cross-functional, collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.
Summary: The Director of Growth Marketing will be responsible for all consumer acquisition and retention strategies across all digital channels for Whole Biome and its sub-brands. This role will be pivotal in architecting our e-commerce platform and designing and executing full lifecycle marketing campaigns to drive consumer acquisition and engagement. In addition, this role will be focused on driving growth and improving the conversion rate, and optimizing the conversion funnel in paid social, display ads, email, search, affiliates, etc. while ensuring our eCommerce platforms are designed to optimize the customer experience across web and mobile platforms. This role will also support cohesive brand marketing and engagement efforts, pulling from deep data insights, to improve marketing performance, measure retention and loyalty goals to maximize revenue. Lead and develop growth marketing strategies that achieves our topline revenue goals and brings consumers along on a journey from brand awareness to advocacy
Design acquisition marketing campaigns to drive traffic, aggressively testing to improve ROI and achieving sales targets. Design programs that acquire new customers from social, affiliate and display advertising, banner ads, paid Facebook, dynamic product ads, and mobile ads.
Develop and activate consumer retention strategies that drive consumer LTV and engagement. Drive visibility around acquisition funnel, audiences, saturation and attribution. Ability to lead nurture funnels and develop email marketing campaigns.
Drive organic and earned media channels through design and management of blog, content strategy, SEO, referral, affiliate marketing and partnerships.
Conduct A/B Testing and create and test new messages and new funnels, offers, creatives, and audiences to maximize Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and ROAS.
Measure and achieve exemplary ROI for across digital performance marketing initiatives.
Experience designing subscription platforms and ability to design and launch sophisticated performance technology stacks, including DSP, adserving and SEM platform contracts.
Lead reporting and analytics across all channels and own the performance of all relevant KPI's (LTV, CAC, contribution margin, channel ROAS targets, retention cohorts, customer churn feedback, etc)
Forecast and manage the budget.
Report and provide key insights ensuring marketing programs are meeting forecasts as well as determining effectiveness of social spending
5+ years of experience in a growth, acquisition, digital marketing and/or SEM/SEO role.
Deep experience with CPA, LTV, attribution models, and cohort analysis required
Proven track record in developing and implementing high-impact, multi-channel strategies to generate top of funnel demand
Advanced proficiency in marketing through core digital channels including PPC, RTB, display, affiliate, and paid social.
Experience implementing and conducting A/B tests (with Optimizely, VWO, etc.)
Experience architecting and implementing e-comm platforms and solutions (WooCommerce, Shopify, etc.).
Experience designing and implementing drip campaigns to drive retention and engagement.
Experience with ad technology components – Adservers, DSPs, Tag Managers, Site-side Analytics, DMPs.
Strong analytical skills. Ability to measure effectiveness of various campaigns
Self motivated to improve metrics and seek new marketing channels for growth
Work well independently and collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
Operates effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Experience with consumer brands and food, a plus!
